With little offshore sailing experience, we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge in 2002 beginning our seven year journey across the Pacific on board Whisper, a Hallberg Rassy 42 sailboat.
Exploring Mexico’s beauty, generosity and cuisine for 1.5 years prepared us for the Pacific Puddle Jump to the South Pacific. Six months in the islands allowed diving, snorkeling and learning island cultures. After the South Pacific, New Zealand grabbed our hearts to become our home for three years. After replenishing the cruising kitty and achieving New Zealand permanent residency, we sailed north to Fiji and New Caledonia for six months to play in the islands. The final passage on our Pacific adventure brought us to Australia in 2008.
